Full text of this version
On 8 May 2021, a car bomb exploded at the entrance of Sayed al-Shuhada school in Dasht-e Barchi, a mainly Hazara and Shia area of west Kabul. Two more bombs went off as students fled.1 The school taught in three shifts, the second of them for girls.1
Early reports counted 30 dead, and the toll rose for days.2 One compilation gives at least 90 dead and 240 injured.1 No group immediately claimed the attack. President Ashraf Ghani blamed the Taliban, who denied involvement.2
Please add the names of the students, where families agree.
