The Hazaras and the Afghan State: Rebellion, Exclusion and the Struggle for Recognition is by the scholar Niamatullah Ibrahimi, published by Hurst in 2017.¹ It covers rebellion in the nineteenth century, the incorporation of the Hazarajat into Afghanistan in the 1890s, and more recent ethnic mobilisation.²
