Full text of this version
Halwa-e samanak, also called halwa-e sia ("black") or surkh, is made from flour, germinated wheat and water. It is fried and then simmered for hours until firm, and it tastes sweet although no sugar is added.1 In Quetta it is served at tea time with Bosragh.2
